This overall growth of its economy has started attracting services sectors across the globe, ranging from financial services to tourism, aviation, and communication sectors. The fact that the nation is ranked alongside other nations with one of the highest human development rates in the Middle East region and has one of the lowest tax rates in the world also helps in attracting foreign professional workers to this country.  Shortage of local workforce is however the main reason why Qatar depends on foreign workers.

Agriculture is considered a main component in every country’s GDP. Although, Qatar has been impeded by many natural causes in being able to produce huge amount of agricultural products, but it’s trying its best to remove all those obstacles and induce Agriculture as one of the main sectors. Qatari government has been encouraging everyone to invest in this sector. Fishing is another important industry in Qatar, as the region is surrounded Arabian Sea from almost all sides. Due to growth in agricultural and fishing sector there are many vacancies available for posts like chemical engineers for fertilizer companies, botanists, researchers and marine biologists.

Cement

Due to the government’s drive to increase the income from non- petroleum products, cement industries have flourished a lot in Qatar in the last couple of decades. Cement industries in Qatar specialize in many kinds of cements like Ordinary Portland Cement, Hydrated Lime, Washed Sand, Calcined lime and Sulphate Resistant Cement. Although cement industries are currently booming not many managerial or engineering jobs are available as all the vacancies are for unskilled or semi-skilled workers.

Iron and Steel:

Qatar is one of the major manufacturers of iron and steel, and has got many independent as well as conglomerate steel companies. Vacancies are needed for posts such as mechanical engineers, support staff, and logistic managers.

Though there are few other industries in Qatar, the job prospects of these companies and the salaries provided are higher than others.
